ReSound completes sale of retail outlets

Redwood City hearing-aid developer ReSound Corp. has completed the sale of its Viennatone subsidiary to the Amplifon Group, based in Milan, Italy. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Viennatone is a chain of retail hearing care stores in Austria; Amplifon leads the European market in retail distribution of hearing aid products, with 420 retail outlets. The Viennatone deal will add 21 stores to Amplifon's total.
