U.S. Industries Completes Purchase of Keller Industries' Ladder Operations
London and Iselin, New Jersey — U.S. Industries, Inc. announced that an affiliate of its Ames garden tool company has completed the purchase of the ladder operations of Keller Industries, Inc. for US$37.3 million in cash. The company had signed an agreement to purchase Keller on June 6, 1996.
U.S. Industries is a diversified industrial management corporation. Its companies include such well known businesses as Jacuzzi, Ames garden tools, Ertl toys, Rexair vacuum cleaners, Lighting Corporation of America, EJ Footwear, Garden State Tanning and Tommy Armour Golf.
