Fuad Sawaya has more than 20 years of experience advising many of the most respected consumer companies in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to founding Sawaya Segalas & Co., LLC in 2001, Fuad led JP Morgan's Middle Market Consumer Products Group. He began his career at PaineWebber, Inc., spending 14 years there, first in the Mergers & Acquisitions department and later the Consumer Products Investment Banking Group, which he ran in the late 1990s. He has established working relationships with global and domestic Consumer Products companies at the Chairman, CEO and CFO levels and positioned his team as a strategic resource for the Private Equity/LBO sponsor community in this segment.
Among the more than 150 successful engagements he has been involved in during his career, Fuad's experience prior to launching Sawaya Segalas included the acquisition of National Car Rental Systems, Inc. and the sale of FoxMeyer Drug Company to McKesson Corporation; the sale of Snapple Beverage Corp. to The Quaker Oats Company; the recapitalization of Randall's Food Markets, Inc. with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.; the sale of Armor All Products Corporation to The Clorox Company; the sale of South Beach Beverage Company, LLC to PepsiCo, Inc and a joint venture between the laundry businesses of USA Detergents, Inc. and Church & Dwight Co., Inc.. Herc Segalas has over 50 years in the consumer industry, research and investment banking. Before co-founding Sawaya Segalas in 2001, Herc had joined Schroeder/Salomon Smith Barney in the late 1990s, becoming Chairman of Citibank's Global Consumer Products Group. Prior to this, he had spent 10 years in PaineWebber, Inc.'s Consumer Products Investment Banking Group.
Earlier in his long and successful career, Herc worked at consumer industry giant Procter & Gamble Co. and at International Flavors Fragrances before taking his knowledge of the consumer Products to Wall Street, ultimately joining Drexel Burnham Lambert as a research analyst specializing in the cosmetics, personal care and household products industries. His 17 years as the #1 ranked consumer industry research analyst remains unrivaled. Herc earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Yale University. Jeffrey H. Kuhr

Jeffrey Kuhr, Managing Director, joined Sawaya Segalas in 2002 and has advised companies in the housewares, household products, food/beverage, apparel/footwear and retail/distribution segments of the consumer industry.
Jeff began his career in 1981 as a strategic consultant advising Fortune 500 companies with Data Resources, Inc., then joined GE Capital Corporation where he financed leveraged buyouts of consumer and media/communications companies. In 1989 he was a co-founder and Managing Director of Peter J.
Solomon Company, an independent investment banking firm focused on the retail/distribution and consumer industries, and in 1999 established West End Capital Partners, LLC, an independent merchant bank advising Consumer and Retail companies.
Jeff earned a B.A. in Economics from Oberlin College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Michael Z. Rabin

Michael Rabin, Director, joined Sawaya Segalas in 2004 and has extensive experience advising the senior management of Fortune 100 companies on mergers, strategy and organizational effectiveness. Michael spent the first
13 years of his career as a management consultant, where as a Partner at Marakon Associates he led engagements for clients in the consumer industry, Information Technology, Chemicals, Publishing and Food Retailing segments, among others. Leaving consulting in 1996 to join Goldman Sachs as a Vice President, he spent two years in the Mergers department, during which he played a senior role in numerous Consumer Products transactions. Michael then spent three years as a senior coverage banker in the Financial Sponsors Group, before joining the investment banking group at CRT Capital Holdings, LLC.
Michael earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. Robert (Tenny) Field, Vice President, joined the firm in 2006. Tenny began his career in 1995 as an analyst in the Chemical Bank (subsequently Chase/JP
Morgan) Investment Banking division, covering Energy and Chemical companies.
In his seven years there he rose to associate (completing rotational programs through the firm's Global Syndicated/Leveraged Finance and M&A departments) before joining the Natural Resources group in an Investment Banking Coverage position and being named a Vice President in 2002. Later that year he joined RPM International as Vice President, Corporate Development for its DAP, Inc. subsidiary, leading M&A and corporate development initiatives. Tenny earned a B.A. in Economics and French from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Chris Sargent, Associate, joined the firm in 2008. He began his career with Sawaya Segalas & Co., LLC as a Summer Analyst in 2007, where he supported the investment banking team through his active participation in ongoing transaction assignments, due diligence matters, new business origination and general consumer industry research. Mariela Archer, Chief Administrative Officer, joined the firm in 2005 and is responsible for the financial, legal and operations functions at Sawaya Segalas. Mariela began her career as an associate in the Corporate Department of the New York law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel where she worked on a wide range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, issuance of public and privately placed debt securities and representation of domestic and offshore investment partnerships. Prior to joining Sawaya Segalas, she worked at Alamo Rent-A-Car, Inc. where she held progressively senior management positions in sales and marketing.
Mariela earned a B.S. in Psychology with honors from Georgetown University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. John Lynch, Creative Director, was also one of the first professional hires at the firm in 2001 and is responsible for creative direction and branding for Sawaya Segalas, where he brings background and expertise in graphics, media, design and production. Prior to joining the firm John worked for such Fortune 500 companies as Schroders, American Express, DLJ Merchant Banking Patners, L.P., Jefferies, Lazard Freres, First Boston, Robertson Stephens, McKinsey and Booz Allen on production center development, staffing, hardware, software, ergonomic policies, templates, branding and procedures.
